JOEY VERA's A CHINESE FIREDRILL To Be Distributed Through PROGROCK RECORDS

October 5, 2007

ARMORED SAINT/FATES WARNING bassist Joey Vera has issued the following update:

"I have finally found a home for my solo project A CHINESE FIREDRILL. ProgRock Records has stepped up to take on the distribution of my new CD [entitled 'Circles'] and I’m honored to be a part of the family. The label is truly run by music fans and it’s good to be around people who distribute truly alternative and interesting music. As a bonus for the release I am currently doing extended experimental mixes for three songs. These will all be available for a free download with a code which comes with the new release. The release date is set for November 6, 2007 so order it from your favorite CD store! For more info go to www.progrockrecords.com."

Vera previously stated about "Circles", "I had time off from touring between May 2005 until June of [2006] and I thought it was time for me to make my follow-up solo record which has been on my backburner for quite some time. A few of the tunes I had written between 1997 and 2005 but most of it was written during [2005-2006]. I made a point to write music that didn't reside in my old hat of tricks as I really felt like branching out a little. I don't really care for describing my music or putting a label on it unless I absolutely have to and since this is my own website, I don't have to do anything I don't want to. So there, I'm not putting my music in a neat little box for you. You'll just have to hear it."
